Stag parties in Northern Ireland
Let us help you plan your stag do in Ireland, we can help organise everything from your surfing lesson to your accommodation and even restaurants and bars.
Every year Alive Surf School plays host to well over 50 stag parties and offers something that is a great laugh, loads of fun and the perfect start / end to a stag do!
So, if you are planning a stag party in Ireland or stuck for ideas for the perfect stag do please give us a call – even if you decide not to come surfing with us (which would be a big mistake!) we are still happy to pass advice on where to go and where not to go in town.
Surfing lessons last for two hours, they include all equipment and tuition and there are free hot showers and changing rooms at the beach. The surfing takes place at West Strand, Portrush, Northern Ireland. We use this beach as it has the most consistent surf in the country and is really easy to get to – it is also very close to accommodation, restaurants and of course bars!
There are some really great options for your stag party accommodation; we have highlighted two of them.
Ashlea cottages are a group of self-catered cottages on the outskirts of Portrush town. About a five to ten minute walk into the town centre (or a two minute taxi journey) they are a great option.
Each cottage is in great shape with comfortable beds and furniture and plenty of space for everyone to meet up for a few snacks and drinks before heading nto town.
The cottages are also only minutes walk from the beach where you will be surfing.
Portrush Holiday Hostel
This hostel is easily one of the best hostels you will find anywhere in the world. Each bedroom has recently been refurbished and is en-suite, there is a great sized kitchen and communal room.
Maybe more importantly for a Northern Ireland stag do it is right beside great bars and restaurants and walking distance to everything – including the beach for your surfing lesson.
Bars and restaurants
The award winning Quays bar has very quickly become the Alive teams preferred place for a refreshing beverage.
Since getting a revamp after a fire a few years ago the bar has established itself and a great spot for music, watching sports and generally having a great laugh.
The staff are very friendly and the pub food is really good – highly recommend this place for and stag do in Portrush.
Jackman & Pye
Jackman & Pye has in only a few years quickly become one of Portrush’s best restaurants and a favourite by both locals and visitors.
Offering a really good selection of both meat and seafood dishes and based right in the middle of town it is the perfect spot re-energise after a hard days surfing!
