Welcome to Alive Surf School!

Why not let Jonny, Hanno and Ricky teach you how to surf on the beautiful beaches of Portrush – We believe in making surfing accessible (and lots of fun!) for everyone of all ages, shapes and sizes!

Alive is the longest running surf school in Northern Ireland – our lessons last for 2 hours, include all equipment and you even get a free drink and snack at the end….. followed by free hot showers at the beach.

Safety

Safety is our number one concern and everything we do is based on this philosophy. All our instructors are fully qualified beach lifeguards, have passed all relevant police checks and some have taken a non-compulsory child-protection course. All relevant insurances are also in place.

Surfing lessons run all day, everyday, from the West Strand in Portrush. Surfing lasts for 2 hours, all equipment is provided as well as a snack for afterwards. Free hot showers are provided by Coleraine Borough Council at the beach.

We limit our classes to 8 students per instructor and have clear and transparent safety procedures in place. Please feel free to ask to see these if you so wish.
